P0230 Fuel Pump Primary Circuit - Inspection/Repair:_:W/Harness Inspection

Terminal and Connection Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Power Circuit Inspection

Check Open or Short in power circuit
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect fuel pump relay.
3. IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF"
4. Measure the voltage between power from battery terminal and power from main relay terminal of fuel pump relay harness connector.

Specification :Approx B+




5. Is the measured voltage within specification?






Control Circuit Inspection

Check Open or Short in control circuit
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect fuel pump relay.
3. IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF"
4. Measure the voltage between control terminal of fuel pump relay harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification: Approx 3.5V




5. Is the measured voltage within specification?
