P0326 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Range/Performance (Bank 1) - Inspection/Repair:_:W/Harness Inspection
Terminal & Connector Inspection
1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?
Signal Circuit Inspection
Check Open or Short in signal circuit
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect Knock sensor connector.
3. IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF".
4. Measure the voltage between signal 1 terminal of knock sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
5. Measure the voltage between signal 2 terminal of knock sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification :Approx 1.6V
6. Is the measured voltage within specification ?
Check Shrot in signal circuit
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect Knock sensor connector and ECM connector.
3. Measure the resistance between signal 1 and signal 2 terminal of knock sensor harness connector.
Specification :Infinite
4. Is the measured resistance within specification ?
