P0113 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High Input - Inspection/Repair:_:W/Harness Inspection

Terminal & Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Signal Circuit Inspection

Check Open or Short in signal circuit
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect IATS connector.
3. IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF".
4. Measure voltage between signal terminal of IATS harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification :Approx. 5V








5. Is the measured voltage within specification ?





Check Short to ground in signal circuit
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect IATS and ECM connector.
3. Measure resistance between signal and ground terminal of IATS harness connector.

Specification :Infinite








4. Is the measured resistance within specification ?






Ground Circuit Inspection

Check Open in ground circuit
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect IATS connector.
3. IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF".
4. Measure the voltage between signal terminal of IATS harness connector and chassis ground.(A)
5. Measure the voltage between signal and ground terminal of IATS harness connector and chassis ground.(B)

Specification :"A" - "B" = Below 200mV








6. Is the measured voltage within specification ?
