C1306 RF Internal Interference Failure - General Information

General Description

The TPMS system is the shorten word of Tire Pressure Monitoring System. This system monitors the pressure of the tire and when it drops below a certain pressure, the TPMS ECU makes the warning lamp turn on for notifying the driver. This system consists of TPMS ECU(or TPMS Receiver) and TPMS sensors. The TPMS ECU gets signals such as Tire pressure, Tire temperature, Battery status and Sensor ID via RF(Radio Frequency) at a frequency.

DTC Description

The TPMS ECU monitors RF signals of TPMS sensor and if the TPMS ECU does not receive a valid signal from the sensor by an internal interference, this DTC is set.
