W/Harness Inspection




1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration,or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






H-CAN register and communication line inspection

1. IG KEY OFF.
2. Connect PCM, MCU, HCU, BMS connector.
3. Measure registance between terminal H-CAN High and H-CAN Low of PCM connector.

Specification :About 60 Ohms




4. Is the measured registance within specification ?

1. IG KEY OFF
2. Disconnect HCU, BMS connector.
3. Measure resistance between terminal H-CAN Low and H-CAN High of HCU.
4. Measure resistance between terminal H-CAN Low and H-CAN High of PCM.

Specification :About 120 Ohms




5. Is the measured value within specification ?






H-CAN communcation line inspection

Check short to ground in H-CAN communication line.
1. IG KEY OFF
2. Disconnect PCM, MCU, HCU, BMS connector.
3. Measure resistance between H-CAN High terminal of PCM connector and chassis ground.
4. Measure resistance between H-CAN Low terminal of PCM connector and chassis ground.
Check short to battery in H-CAN communication line.
1. IG KEY OFF
2. Disconnect PCM, MCU, HCU, BMS connector.
3. IG KEY ON
4. Measure voltage between H-CAN High terminal(# 3) of PCM connector and chassis ground.
5. Measure voltage between H-CAN Low terminal(#11) of PCM connector and chassis ground.

Specification :approx. 0V




6. Is the measured value within specification ?
