W/Harness Inspection
1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration,or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?
CAN Communication line check
CAN communication circuit inspection (ECM <->A.A.F)
1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect A.A.F connector and ECM connector.
3. Measure the resistance between CAN-HIGH terminal of A.A.F harness connector and CAN-HIGH terminal of ECM harness connector.
4. Measure the resistance between CAN-LOW terminal of A.A.F harness connector and CAN-LOW terminal of ECM harness connector.
Specification :below 1Ohms
5. Is the measured resistance within specification ?
Check short to ground in CAN communication line
1. IG KEY OFF.
2. Measure resistnace between CAN high terminal (# 3) of diagnostic connector and chassis ground.
3. Measure resistance between CAN low terminal (# 11) of diagnostic connector and chassis ground.
Specification :Infinity Ohms
4. Is the measured value within specification ?
