P1BA1 High Voltage Battery FAN Fault - General Information
Component Location
General Description
The High Voltage Battery will be exposed to internal heat during the charge/discharge process. To maintain proper temperature it is necessary to use a forced air cooling method. This cooling system is composed of a Cooling Blower, Cooling Fan Relay and Air Duct. To maintain the proper temperature the BMS ECU adjusts the Cooling Blower speed accordingly.
Field action when High Voltage Battery discharges
DTC Description
The BMS ECU sets P1BA1 when the relay is out of order or the fan module faulty (fan relay, fan motor control unit, blower, fan fuse) fails 2 times IG ON/Off driving cycle.
