Terminal & Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Power Circuit Inspection

Open / Short Circuit Inspection
1. Disconnect 18pin connector of Oil Pump Unit
(1) IG KEY OFF.
(2) Measure a voltage between ON/START power pin of OPU relay wire side and chassis ground.
(3) Measure a voltage between relay control pin of OPU relay wire side and chassis ground.

Specification :Battery voltage








(4) Is the measured resistance within specifications?






Control Circuit Inspection

Open Circuit Inspection
1. Disconnect the connector of relay side and OPU side.
2. Measure resistance between "Relay control circuit pin of OPU and OPU connector.
3. Measure resistance between Relay ON power pin of OPU and OPU connector.

Specification :Approx. 0 Ohms








4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?





Short Circuit Inspection
1. Power circuit short inspection.
2. Disconnect "connector of Relay side and connector of Oil Pump Unit side.
3. Measure a resistance between "relay control pin of Oil Pump Unit wire side and Battery power.

Specification :Infinite








4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?





Chassis Ground Short Inspection
1. Disconnect "Oil Pump Unit connector and relay connector.
2. Measure a resistance between "relay control pin of Oil Pump Unit wire side and chassis ground.

Specification :Infinite








3. Is the measured resistance within specifications?
