P1688 Immobilizer Lock - Scantool Diagnostics

Monitor DTC Status

1. Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE") & Vehicle "STOP".
2. Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
3. Click "DTC Status" on the menu bar to view DTC information.
4. Confirm that the "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in Freeze Frame Data or Enable Conditions.
5. Read the "DTC Status" parameter.




6. Is parameter displayed "Present fault"?











Monitor Scantool Data

1. Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE") & Vehicle "STOP".
2. Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
3. Selet "Currnet Data"mode and monitor "HCU Immobilizer Lock" parameter.

Specification :




Fig.1) Test Condition : Authentification failed.
4. If the "HCU Immobilizer Lock" value is unlock, check below items.
> Check whether Key registration is OK, immobilizer system is functioning well, CAN DTC is set or Engine ECU has no problem.
> Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
