General Description

The Immobilizer system performs mutual authentications among the Key, SMK, HCU and the Engine ECU. With this authentication, the Immobilizer system allows the Main Motor and Engine to start.

DTC Description

The HCU sets DTC P1688 when authentication has failed between the ECU and SMK even though the authentication between HCU and ECU has completed.
