P1610 Non-Immobilizer-EMS Connected to an Immobilizer - Scantool Diagnostics

Monitor DTC Status

1. Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE") & Vehicle "STOP".
2. Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
3. Click "DTC Status" on the menu bar to view DTC information.
4. Confirm that the "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in Freeze Frame Data or Enable Conditions.
5. Read the "DTC Status" parameter.




6. Is parameter displayed "Present fault"?











Monitor Scantool Data

1. Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE") & Vehicle "STOP".
2. Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
3. Selet "Currnet Data"mode and monitor "Immobilizer CAR" parameter.

Specification :




Fig.1) Test Condition : Ignition Key "ON"
4. Check as follows if "Immobilizer CAR" value is displayed as "IMMO"
> Replace HPCU(HCU) equipped with Immobilizer and then, check system is functioning properly.
> Replace ECU equipped with Immobilizer and then, check system is functioning properly.
> Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
