P0C73 Motor Electronics Coolant Pump \'A\' Control Performance - Scantool Diagnostics

Monitor DTC Status

1. Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE") & Vehicle "STOP".
2. Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
3. Click "DTC Status" on the menu bar to view DTC information.
4. Confirm that the "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in Freeze Frame Data or Enable Conditions.
5. Read the "DTC Status" parameter.




6. Is parameter displayed "Present fault"?











Monitor Scantool Data

1. Ignition ON/Hybrid Ready (Cluster Indicator "READY" On) Vehicle Parked.
2. Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
3. Selet "Currnet Data"mode and monitor "Enable flag for Electric Water Pump(EWP) operation" parameter.




Fig.1-1) If the Enable EWP operation value is ON, It means that EWP operation is required.
Fig.1-2) If the EWP Operation Status value is ON, It means that EWP operation is avaliable.
Fig.1-3) If the EWP Operation Speed is ON, RPM will be displayed around 3300rpm.
4. Check as below if the "EWP Operation Status" value is displayed as "OFF".
> Check poor connection, open or short in EWP IG and GND.
> Substitute with a known-good EWP and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace EWP and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
> When replaced EWP, Perform airbleeding for EWP with GDS.
