Scantool Diagnostics

HEV Motor System
P0BCF Generator Inverter Temperature Sensor Circuit High - Scantool Diagnostics

Monitor DTC Status

1. Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE") & Vehicle "STOP".
2. Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
3. Click "DTC Status" on the menu bar to view DTC information.
4. Confirm that the "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in Freeze Frame Data or Enable Conditions.
5. Read the "DTC Status" parameter.

6. Is parameter displayed "Present fault"?

Monitor Scantool Data

1. Ignition ON/Hybrid Ready (Cluster Indicator "READY" On) Vehicle Parked.
2. Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
3. Selet "Currnet Data"mode and monitor "MCU(GCU) temperature" parameter.

Specification :- 22 - 302°F(-30 - 150°C)

Fig.1) Parameter of "MCU(GCU) Temperature " will be fixed at 417°F, if there is any fault in Motor Temperature.
Fig.2-1) Check number of Generator(HSG) operation and MCU(GCU) temperature changes as operating time goes by.
Fig.2-2) Check the EWP is in normal operation.
4. If the current temperature is abnormal, check below items.
> Check Cooling System is normal operation (including EWP operation)
> Check number of Generator(HSG) operation and MCU(GCU) temperature changes as operating time goes by.
> Check temperature value changes while driving vehicle.
> Substitute with a known-good MCU(GCU) and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace MCU(GCU) and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
> After Component replacement Motor/HSG Resolver Calibration must be performed using the GDS.
