General Description

The Motor Control Unit (MCU) supplies AC voltage to both the Drive Motor and the Hybrid Starter Generator (HSG). The Drive Motor provides output torque to the drivetrain and the HSG starts the gasoline engine. The MCU uses two internal Inverters to convert the input DC high voltage into output AC voltage.

DTC Description

If the MCU sets P0A78 when there is an internal failure of the MCU and an open & short in Drive Motor Phase cable connector.
