P0A40 Drive Motor \'A\' Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance - Scantool Diagnostics

Monitor DTC Status

1. Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE") & Vehicle "STOP".
2. Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
3. Click "DTC Status" on the menu bar to view DTC information.
4. Confirm that the "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in Freeze Frame Data or Enable Conditions.
5. Read the "DTC Status" parameter.




6. Is parameter displayed "Present fault"?











Monitor Scantool Data

1. Ignition ON/Hybrid Ready (Cluster Indicator "READY" On) Vehicle Parked.
2. Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
3. Selet "Currnet Data"mode and monitor "Drive Motor Resolver Mal Counter" parameter.

Specification :1) Drive Motor Resolver Offset : 2.28 ± 0.18 el.
2) Drive Motor Resolver Mal Counter : Nomal : 0, Abnormal : 1 - 132.




Fig.1) Resolver Offset adoptation is not available if the Drive Motor Resolver Offset value is out of 2.28 ± 0.18 el range It is a Motor Resolver Falut if the Drive Motor Resolver Mal Counter reaches more than 132 times.
4. Is the measured data within specifications?
