HEV Motor System
P0A3C Drive Motor \'A\' Inverter Over Temperature - Scantool Diagnostics
Monitor DTC Status
1. Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE") & Vehicle "STOP".
2. Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
3. Click "DTC Status" on the menu bar to view DTC information.
4. Confirm that the "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in Freeze Frame Data or Enable Conditions.
5. Read the "DTC Status" parameter.
6. Is parameter displayed "Present fault"?
Monitor Scantool Data
1. Ignition ON/Hybrid Ready (Cluster Indicator "READY" On) Vehicle Parked.
2. Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
3. Selet "Currnet Data"mode and monitor "MCU temperature" parameter.
Specification :- 22 - 302°F(-30 - 150°C)
Fig.1) Parameter of "MCU Temperature" will be fixed at 417°F, if there is any fault in Motor Temperature.
Fig.2-1) Check temperature is getting higher as the Actual Drive Motor Torque is higher.
Fig.2-2) Check EWP is in normal operation.
4. If the current temperature is abnormal, check below items.
> Check Check the MCU cooling system because MCU cooling system failure gives influence to HSG temperature changes.
> Check the temperature changes between MCU and GCU and HSG and LDC are similar.
> Check temperature is changing as the MCU Motor Torque is increased.
> Substitute with a known-good MCU(HPCU) and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace MCU(HPCU) and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
> After Component replacement Motor/HSG Resolver Calibration must be performed using the GDS.
