P0A3B Generator Over Temperature - Scantool Diagnostics

Monitor DTC Status

1. Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE") & Vehicle "STOP".
2. Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
3. Click "DTC Status" on the menu bar to view DTC information.
4. Confirm that the "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in Freeze Frame Data or Enable Conditions.
5. Read the "DTC Status" parameter.




6. Is parameter displayed "Present fault"?











Monitor Scantool Data

1. Ignition ON/Hybrid Ready (Cluster Indicator "READY" On) Vehicle Parked.
2. Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
3. Selet "Currnet Data"mode and monitor "Generator(HSG) temperature" parameter.

Specification :








Fig.1) Parameter of "Generator(HSG) Temperature" will be fixed at 413°F, if there is any fault in Motor Temperature.
Fig.2-1) Check Number of Generator(HSG) operation, and Generator(HSG) temperature changes as time goes by.
Fig.2-2) Check EWP is operating correctly.
4. If the current temperature is abnormal, check below items.
> Check poor connection of Generator(HSG) Temperature Sensor connector.
> Check cooling system because Generator(HSG) cooling system failure gives influence to HSG temperature changes.
> Check Number of the Generator(HSG) operation and Generator(HSG) temperature changes as time goes by.
> Go to Next procedure.
