P0A2B Drive Motor \'A\' Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance - Scantool Diagnostics

Monitor DTC Status

1. Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE") & Vehicle "STOP".
2. Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode.
3. Click "DTC Status" on the menu bar to view DTC information.
4. Confirm that the "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in Freeze Frame Data or Enable Conditions.
5. Read the "DTC Status" parameter.




6. Is parameter displayed "Present fault"?











Monitor Scantool Data

1. Ignition ON/Hybrid Ready (Cluster Indicator "READY" On) Vehicle Parked.
2. Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
3. Selet "Currnet Data"mode and monitor "Drive Motor temperature" parameter.

Specification :- 4 - 390°F(-20 - 200°C)








Fig.1) Parameter of "Drive Motor Temperature" will be fixed at 417°F, if there is any fault in Motor Temperature.
Fig.2) Check Driver Motor temperature value changes as the Drive Motor Torque value goes up.
4. Check below items if the current temperature is not normal condition.
> Check poor connection of Drive Motor Temperature Sensor connector.
> Check oil in the Drive Motor inside shares A/T oil and amount of ATF.
> Check the tendency of temperature changes between ATF and Driver Motor is similar.
> Check the temperature is changing with vehicle driving.
> Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.
