General Description

The HCU uses Engine Clutch Pressure Sensor so that HCU can control Engine Clutch as ON/OFF/SLIP. With this control, The HCU can change mode EV and HEV vise verse. In case that Pressure Sensor is faulty, there is a possibility which makes bad driveability(Shock, Jerk etc.) due to hydraulic pressure characteristics when temperture is lower than a sub-zero or very low temperature.

DTC Description

The HCU sets DTC P0842 if the HCU detects that the Engine Clutch Pressure Sensor circuit is shorted to ground or signal line open.
