General Description

Many of the control units in the vehicle and connected via CAN communication. CAN allows a control unit to use sensor information other control units. CAN communication consists of CAN BUS HIGH, CAN BUS LOW and two 120Ohms resistances in circuit. In order to operate it's Smart Parking Assist System (SPAS) function, the MDPS unit gets the status of gear-shifting from TCU in a vehicle with A/T.

DTC Description

If the MDPS ECM looses CAN signal from the TCU, it sets C1612.
