C1380 Brake Pedal Travel Sensor Not Calibrated - General Information
Component Location
General Description
The Brake Pedal Travel Sensor ,mounted at the brake pedal, measures the travel distance of the brake pedal when driver presses brake pedal. Its signal is used for calculating the amount of brake force proper to driver's braking intention.
After replacing the sensor, pedal stroke sensor calibration is needed because there can be installation offset during assembling and there can be electronic signal offset. The effect of the uncalibration
1 In case of positive offset : AHB can be more sensitive (it can control boosting force irrelevant to the driver's braking will)
2 In case of negative offset : AHB can be insensitive (Braking response can be insensitive.)
DTC Description
If no information regarding brake padel travel sensor calibration in the AHB ECU is detected, a failure is recognized.
