Terminal and Connector inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Power Circuit Inspection

Open or Short Check
1. IG "ON".
2. Measure voltage between power terminal of the Brake Pedal Travel sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification :Approx. 5V




3. Is the measured value within specifications?






Signal Circuit Inspection

Short Check (to ground)
1. IG "OFF".
2. Disconnect the Brake Pedal Travel sensor, HECU, AHB connectors.
3. Measure resistance between PDT and PTF signal terminal of the Brake Pedal Travel sensor harness connector.

Specification :Approx. Infinity Ohms




4. Is the measured value within specifications?
