P2149 Fuel Injector Group \'B\' Supply Voltage Circuit/Open - Inspection/Repair:_:W/Harness Inspection

Power Circuit Inspection

1. IG OFF.
2. Backprope both terminals of the injector connector.
3. Engine RUNNING.
4. Measure the signal waveform of the injector.

Signal Circuit Inspection

Check for Short to Ground in Control harness
1. IG OFF.
2. Disconnect the Injector and PCM connectors.
3. Measure the resistance between the High side terminal of Injector harness connector and chassis ground.
Measure the resistance between the Low side terminal of Injector harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification :Infinite




4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?





Check for Open in Control harness
1. IG OFF.
2. Disconnect the Injector and PCM connectors.
3. Measure the resistance between both ends of the High side control harness.
Measure the resistance between both ends of the Low side control harness.

Specification :Approx. 0Ohms




4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?






Terminal and Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?
