Terminal and Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Signal Circuit Inspection

Open or Short Check
1. IG ON, ENG OFF.
2. Measure voltage between back up signal terminal of intelligent power switch connetor and chassis ground.

Specification :Gear R position (approx 0V), Other gear position (approx. B+)




3. Is the measured value within specifications?






Power Circuit Inspection

Open Check
1. IG OFF.
2. Disconnect back up lamp switch connector.
3. IG "ON" & ENG "OFF"
4. Measure voltage between power terminal of back up lamp switch connetor and chassis ground.

Specification :Approx. B+




5. Is the measured value within specifications?
