Tire Pressure Monitoring
C1325 Sensor 4 Over Temperature - General Information

Component Location

General Description

The TPMS is the acronym for Tire Pressure Monitoring System. This system monitors the pressure in the tires. If the pressure it drops below a certain amount, the TPMS ECU will turn on the warning lamp turn to notifying the driver. This system consists of TPMS ECU(or TPMS Receiver) and TPMS sensors. Among components of TPMS system, the TPMS sensor is installed at each wheel rim. The sensor measures the air pressure and the temperature of the tire and then transmits it to the TPMS ECU. The communication from TPMS sensors is done via RF(Radio Frequency) at a given frequency.

DTC Description

The TPMS ECU monitors the RF signal of the sensor and if its temperature is more than 239°F(115°C), this DTC is set.
