Inspection/Repair - W/Harness Inspection

Terminal & Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Power Circuit Inspection

Check Open or short in power circuit
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect ISCA connector.
3. IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF"
4. Measure the voltage between sensor power terminal of ISCA harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : B+




5. Is the measured voltage within specification?






Control Circuit Inspection

Check voltage
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect ISCA connector and ECM connector.
3. IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF"
4. Measure the voltage between ISCA closing control terminal of ISCA harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx 1.2 V




5. Is the measured voltage within specification?





Check Open or short in control circuit
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect ISCA connector and ECM connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ISCA closing control terminal of ISCA harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Infinite




4. Is the measured resistance within specification?
