Component Inspection

Check "TRANSAXLE FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR"
1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect the "TRANSAXLE FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR" connector.
3. Measure the resistance between "Signal" terminals and "Ground" of the "TRANSAXLE FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR".

Specification : Refer to " Reference data"

[Reference data]

4. Is resistance within specifications?

CHECK TCM (PCM)
1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
2. Connect "TRANSAXLE FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR" connector.
3. Install GDS and select a SIMU-SCAN,
4. Simulate voltage (0->5 V) to "TRANSMISSION FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR" signal circuit.

Fig 1) INPUT 1.2 V -> 156 °F
Fig 2) INPUT 2.2 V -> 99 °F
** The values are subject to change according to vehicle model or conditions.
5. Is FLUID TEMP. SENSOR signal value changed according to simulation voltage?
