Component Inspection

Main Relay Check
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect main relay.
3. IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF"
4. Measure the voltage between Power from battery (30) terminal and Power to component (87) of main relay harness connector and chassis ground.
5. Measure the voltage between Power from battery (30) terminal and Power to component (87) of main relay harness connector and chassis ground.









6. Is the measured resistance within specifications?





Alternator check
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Check the tension of alternator belt.
3. Check corrosion, damage or looseness of Battery terminal and Alternator terminal.
4. Engine start.
5. Operate electrical parts (Head lamp, Defogger, etc)
6. Measure the voltage at 2000 rpm.

Specification : Approx 12.5 V ~ 14.5 V

7. Is the measured voltage within specification?
