Hazard Warning Switch: Service and Repair

INSPECTION

HAZARD LAMP SWITCH
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the center facia upper panel (A) after pulling it by using regular screw driver (-). Take care of fixing clips (C).




3. Disconnect the connectors of rear defogger switch and hazard switch (B).
4. Remove the center facia switch assembly(B) from the center facia upper panel.




5. Operate the switch and check for continuity between terminals with an ohmmeter.





HAZARD LAMP RELAY
1. Remove the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the ICM relay box.
3. Check for continuity between the terminals.
4. There should be continuity between the No.8 and No.6 terminals when power and ground are connected to the No.8 and No.9 terminals.
5. There should be no continuity between the No.8 and No.6 terminals when power is disconnected.
