General Information
P2150 Fuel Injector Group \'B\' Supply Voltage Circuit Low
General Information
Component Location
General Description
The Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) system injects high pressure fuel directly into the combustion chamber.
The high pressure injectors have an internal swirl disk which rotates with fuel flow to help atomize the discharging fuel.
This causes the fuel to evaporate rapidly, which reduces inlet air temperature.
This cooler atomized air/fuel inlet charge increases power output.
DTC Description
P2150 is set when the HIGHSIDE Circuit of Cyl. 3 Injector driver shorts to ground.

Signal Waveform & Data
- Ch A : INJ HIGHSIDE signal during fuel injection (Normal idle state)
- Ch B : INJ LOWSIDE signal during fuel injection (Normal idle state)
1 Ready:Pre-energizing range for the quick response of injector.
ECU drives specific duty pulse to a injector.
During "Ready", Injector doesn't work yet. The supply voltage to a injector is 12 V.
2 Rise:ECU starts to peak current rapidly for injector working.
The supply voltage is upturned from 12 V to 55 V. At the peak of current, injector starts to open.
3 Peak/Hold:Holding the peak current until the injector would be completely open.
4 Hold:ECU drives specific duty pulse for holding the injector's open state.
The injector will quickly close once the PCM discontinues current.
