Clutch Pressure Sensor (Hybrid): Service and Repair





Removal

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the auxiliary 12V battery negative (-) cable.
2. Remove the under cover .
3. Disconnect the sensor connector (A).




4. Remove the clutch pressure sensor (A).






Installation

1. Installation is reverse of removal.

Clutch pressure sensor installation:
11 - 15 N.m (1.1 - 1.5 kgf.m, 8.0 - 11.1 lb-ft)

NOTE:
When installing, apply the ATF oil to the O-ring (A).




2. Perform the clutch pressure sensor calibration .

Inspection

1. Connect the GDS to the Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Check the GDS service data of the sensor.
- EV Mode (Engine clutch not operating)

Clutch Oil Pressure:approx. 0




- HEV Mode (Engine clutch operating)

Clutch Oil Pressure:above 0





Clutch Pressure Sensor Calibration

NOTE:
HCU need to be learnt the kissing point at both ends of the clutch to reduce shock while engine power is connected to the transaxle. So perform the Clutch Pressure Sensor Calibration after installing the CPS, HCU, engine or hybrid drive motor.

[Condition]
1. Hybrid Motor and HSG Resolver Calibration : "Completed" state
2. "READY" Lamp ON
3. "P" Range
4. Oil Temperature : 30 - 80°C (86 - 176°F)
5. SOC : 30 - 80%
6. No DTC
