Inspection/Repair - W/Harness Inspection

Terminal and Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Signal Circuit Inspection

1. IG KEY OFF.
2. Disconnect OTS connector.
3. Measure resistance between OTS signal terminal of OTS harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : 5 V




4. Is voltage within specification?






Ground Circuit Inspection

1. IG "OFF".
2. Disconnect AAT connector.
3. IG "ON" & ENG "OFF".
4. Measure voltage between signal terminals of AAT harness connector and chassis ground. (Fig.1)
5. Measure voltage between signal terminals and ground terminal of AAT connector. (Fig.2)

Specification : (Fig.1) - (Fig.2) = below 200 mV








6. Is voltage within specification?
