Forte Koup - Front Windows Adjustment
- Description
Forte Koup
When closing the door with the window in the full up position on some Forte Koups produced before August 20, 2009 the front window might contact the drip rail moulding and/or pinch the weather-strip. This condition may produce a popping/rubbing noise when closing the door in addition to creating a potential source for wind leak noise.
In vehicle exhibiting this condition the window glass should be adjusted using the following procedure.
1. Lower the window 10-15mm, remove the inner door panel and locate the front and rear window adjustment stops.
2. Slightly loosen the adjustment nuts, lower the front adjustment 2-3mm and lower the rear adjustment 1-2mm, tighten the nuts, reconnect the window switch and fully raise the window.
3. Close the door, check that the window does not contact the drip rail moulding and that the window evenly contacts the entire length of weather-strip seal with sufficient pressure to prevent wind and water leaks.
4. Repeat the adjustment procedure if needed.
5. Reinstall inner door panel.
6. Check for water leaks using the procedure outlined in the Forte Koup service manual.
