2011 AUDIO UNIT REPLACEMENT/BLUETOOTH(R) VERSION CHANGE
This bulletin provides information relating to 2011 models that need an audio unit replacement. It is important to make the correct audio unit is used to ensure proper operation of the Bluetooth(R) functions. Vehicles produced before the dates listed below use audio units with Bluetooth(R) software version 3.12 or 1.86. Vehicles produced on or after the dates listed below use audio units with Bluetooth(R) software version 3.13 or higher.
Refer to the EPC for the correct part number to be used.
Please follow the procedures outlined below to verify which version Bluetooth(R) software the vehicle is equipped with, and use the appropriate audio unit for the vehicle.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. Sorento, Sportage, Forte & Optima models:
Press and hold preset buttons "1" and "4" for approximately four (4) seconds.
Soul models:
Press and hold preset buttons "1" and "5" for approximately four (4) seconds.
2. Press Preset Button "1" four (4) times.
3. With the software screen displayed, push the info button.
4. The Bluetooth(R) software version will be displayed on the screen.
NOTICE
If the Bluetooth(R) field is blank, press the info button again.
