SERVICE ACTION: Mood Lamp Control Unit Replacement (SA010) (Body - 046)





This Service Action provides information on 2010 Soul(AM) vehicles manufactured between January 15th and May 25th, 2009, having the Audio Upgrade Package with Mood Lamp Speaker illumination. with "music mode" selected, the illuminated speakers lights (LED's) may not operate as expected at interior temperatures above 95 degrees Fahrenheit due to an internal problem of the mood lamp control unit. Replacing the mood lamp control unit with part number 96120 2K510QQK will correct this concern.

Mood Lamp Control Unit Reinstallation:

1. Install a new mood lamp control unit, part number 96120 2K510QQK.











NOTICE

2. Reassemble the vehicle in the reverse order of dissemble.

3. Check the operation of the mood lamp control unit in all four (4) modes (Off, Music Mood and On), making sure that it operates as intended.
