General Description

The purge control solenoid valve (PCSV) is a device used to meter vapor flow to the engine. The PCM controls the PCSV using a duty cycle signal.

DTC Description

If the Reference value of differential tank pressure is below -0.6hPa (-1.253 lbf/ft2), PCM determines that PCSV is stuck open and sets DTC P0496.
