System Inspection
1. Check Fuel Filler Cap
(1) Check the Fuel Filler Cap is installed and properly tightened.
(2) Check if the Fuel Filler Cap seal is missing or damaged.
(3) Is the Fuel Filler Cap OK?
YES
1) Go to "Check vapor hoses for leakage in fuel system" as indicated below
NO
1) Replace the Fuel Filler Cap and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
2. Check vapor hoses for leakage in fuel system
(1) Check vapor hoses between the following components for leakage:
- Intake manifold ~ Purge control solenoid valve (PCSV)
- Purge control solenoid valve (PCSV) ~ Canister
- Canister ~ Canister close valve (CCV)
- Canister ~ fuel tank
(2) Does a leak exist?
YES
1) Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
1) Go to "Check fuel filler pipe for crack or leakage" as indicated below
3. Check fuel filler pipe for crack or leakage
(1) Check that there is crack or leakage in fuel filler pipe
(2) Is there any crack or leakage ?
YES
1) Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
1) Go to "Component inspection" procedure.
