W/Harness Inspection

Terminal and Connector inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Control Circuit Inspection

Check for Short to Ground in Opening Control Circuit
1. IG KEY OFF.
2. Disconnect PCM and VCMA harness connector.
3. Measure resistance between opening control terminal of VCMA harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Infinite Ohms





4. Is resistance within specification?





Check for Open in Closing Control Circuit
1. IG KEY OFF.
2. Disconnect VCMA harness connector and PCM harness connector.
3. Measure resistance between both ends of closing control line.

Specification : Approx. 0 Ohms





4. Is resistance within specification?
