Repair Procedures

Removal

1. Remove the engine cover (A).




2. Disconnect the breather hose (A), ECM connector (B) and remove the air cleaner assembly (C).




3. Disconnect the VIS connector (A), OPS connector (B), knock sensor (C) and A/C switch connector (D).




4. Disconnect the injector connectors (A).




5. Disconnect the ETC connector (A) and MAP sensor connector (B).




6. Disconnect the CMP sensor connector (A), fuel hose (B), PCSV hose (C) and brake booster vacuum hose (D).




7. Remove the coolant hose (A) from the throttle body.




8. Remove the PCV hose (A).




9. Remove the sensor connectors (A) from the bracket and then remove the intake manifold stay (B).




10. Remove the oil level gauge.
11. Remove the intake manifold (A).






Installation

1. Install the intake manifold (A).

Tightening torque :
18.6 - 23.5N.m (1.9 - 2.4kgf.m,13.7 - 17.4lb-ft)





2. Install the oil level gauge.
3. Install the intake manifold stay (B) and then install the sensor connectors (A).

Tightening torque :
18.6 - 23.5N.m (1.9 - 2.4kgf.m,13.7 - 17.4lb-ft)





4. Install the PCV hose (A).




5. Install the coolant hose (A) to the throttle body.




6. Connect the brake booster vacuum hose (D), PCSV hose (C), fuel hose (B) and CMP sensor connector (A).




7. Connect the ETC connector (A) and MAP sensor connector (B).




8. Connect the injector connectors (A).




9. Connect the VIS connector (A), OPS connector (B), knock sensor connector (C) and A/C switch connector (D).




10. Install the air cleaner assembly (C) then connect the breather hose (A), ECM connector (B).

Tightening torque :
7.8 - 11.8N.m (0.8 - 1.2kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7lb-ft)





11. Install the engine cover (A).
