W/Harness Inspection
Terminal and Connector Inspection
1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check shorting connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?
Main harness Circuit Inspection
1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery and wait at least one minute.
3. Disconnect junction block I/P-H connector and SRSCM main harness connector.
4. Measure resistance value between terminal "Air bag indicator" of main harness of SRSCM and "Air bag Voltage" of harness of Junction block
Specification : 0 Ohm
5. Is the measured resistance within specifications?
Main harness Circuit Inspection
1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Remove the Instrument cluster from crash pad assembly.
3. Ignition "OFF" & Engine "OFF".
4. Measure resistance between terminal "Power supply" of the instrument cluster harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Infinity
5. Is the measured resistance within specifications?
