Air Conditioning Switch
GENERAL
DUAL AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL (DATC) allows independent control of temperature and vent mode at left and right sides of the driver and passenger seat. In addition, rear temperature is controlled separately. In other words, vent mode, temperature, air blow, compressor on/off, air inlet and air outlet are automatically controlled to maintain the amicable temperature and ventilation.
Of course, temperature, air blow, air inlet and outlet, compressor on/off can be controlled manually without using auto function.
SWITCH OPERATION
Connector configuration
SYSTEM OPERATION BY OPERATING THE SWITCH
NOTE:
1. It will maintain current mode selection upon system off and other mode selection enabled.
2. Rear vent/temperature control actuator will operate when rear vent switch is on.
Rear vent/temperature control actuator will control at max. cooling when rear vent is off.
3. If the ambient temperature is over 3.5°C(38.3°F), A/C output and A/C indicator lamp will be on but if it is below 3.5°C(38.3°F), A/C output and A/C indicator will be off.
4. In dual mode, blower level, Recir/Fresh air door and A/C compressor will be controlled by input signal from driver side.
In dual mode, setting passenger side temperature within 17 - 19°C(62 - 66°F), A/C will operate when A/C is on.
5. Setting passenger side temperature during dual switch off, driver side will set in the same manner.
6. In dual on, if mode is auto, mode will change the automatically and if mode is manual, DUAL mode will be released.
However in dual on, passenger side will be equally controlled by driver side at the same setting temperature of driver and passenger side and the passenger side will return the previous control condition at the different setting temperature by adjusting.
7. In dual ON/OFF, when the rear control temperature switch should be adjusted, the setting temperature of front driver and passenger side will be equally controlled by the setting temperature of front driver side. Dual switch will not operate in off mode.
8. With temperature setting at 17°C(62°F), system will automatically control at max. cooling. (vent, A/C ON, blower level high)
Mode, A/C, blower level, Recir/Fresh air door may be selected using each switch and buzzer sound will not generate when dual switch is selected.
9. With temperature setting at 32°C(90°F), system will automatically control at max. warm (vent, A/C off, blower level high)
Mode, A/C, blower level, Recir/Fresh air door may be selected using each switch and buzzer sound will not generate when dual switch is selected.
10. Rear vent switch will not operate in off mode or defrost mode.
DISPLAY AND INDICATOR BY OPERATING THE SWITCH
NOTE:
1. It will maintain current mode selection upon system off and other mode selection enabled.
2. A/C indicator lamp will automatically be on and off depending on automatic control condition.
3. Recir/Fresh indicator lamp will automatically be on and off depending on automatic control condition.
4. Rear vent switch will not operate in off mode or defrost mode.
The rear vent indicator lamp and rear A/C indicator lamp of rear control and the rear vent indicator switch and rear A/C indicator lamp of front control will be linked.
5. If the ambient temperature is over 3.5°C(38.3°F), A/C indicator lamp will be on but if it is below 3.5°C(38.3°F), A/C indicator will be off.
6. Dual switch will not operate in off mode.
7. With temperature setting at 17°C(62°F), system will automatically control at max. cooling. (vent, A/C off, blower level high)
Mode, A/C, blower level, Recir/Fresh air door may be selected using each switch and buzzer sound will not generate when dual switch is selected.
8. With temperature setting at 32°C(90°F), system will automatically control at max. warm (vent, A/C off, blower level high)
Mode, A/C, blower level, Recir/Fresh air door may be selected using each switch and buzzer sound will not generate when dual switch is selected.
9. If the passenger side temperature control switch is selected, DUAL indictor lamp will be on and if DUAL switch is reselected, it will be off.
