Component Inspection

Check Mirror Motor
1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF"
2. Using the scantool, select ACTUATION TEST function.
3. Simulate "RH OUTSIDE MIRROR UP (DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT) POSITION"
A. Specification : 2 sec activation




4. Are motors activated within specification?
YES
1) Go to "W/Harness Inspection" procedure.
NO
1) Go to "Check switch" as below.
Check Switch
1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF"
2. Using the scantool, select INPUT/OUTPUT MONITORING function.
3. Monitor "PSNGER MIRROR SW UP (DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT)" parameters when the UP (DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT) switch is ON/OFF.
A. Specification : Input parameters are changed (ON ? OFF) by switch ON/OFF




4. Are input parameters changed within specification?
YES
1) Check open of mirror motor control wire harness.
If wire harness is OK and B+ power is supplied to mirror motor by assist switch module, then replace RH outside mirror (power mirror motor).
If wire harness is OK and B+ power is not supplied to mirror motor by assist switch module, then replace power window assist switch module.
NO
1) Substitute with a known-good power window assist switch module and check proper condition.
If the problem is corrected, replace power window assist switch module and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
