General Information

General Description
When one of the front or rear directional lamps has malfunctioned (Lamp failure), the turn signal blinks at twice than the normal frequency ("double blinking").
The double blinking works at IGN2 ON condition.
1. Flasher fault detection should be inhibited by battery voltage status. When the VBAT voltage is lower than 11V (8V), Fault detection for front LED (Lamp) type should be inhibited.
2. If fault is detected, BCM keep the fault condition until flasher triggering condition is released. (Turn signal switch off/ IGN2 or Hazard switch off)
CAUTION:
Double blinking for Hazard: If any error condition (related to Hazard lamp) is detected, the double blinking is triggered except for side lamp.
Period: More than 120 Cycle/min.
DTC Description
The BCM sets DTC "DIRECTION LAMP MALFUNCTION" if turn signal lamp failures are detected.
