Trunk / Liftgate: Service and Repair





REPLACEMENT

TRUNK LID TRIM REPLACEMENT
1. Detach the clips, then remove the trunk trim (A).

NOTE:
- When removing and installing the trunk lid, an assistant is necessary.
- Wear gloves to protect hands from injury.




2. Installation is the reverse of removal.

NOTE:
- Replace any damaged clips.

TRUNK LID LIFT REPLACEMENT
1. Using a screwdriver (A), slightly lift up the socket clips (B) of both ends on the lifter (D), and then remove the lifter from the bracket (C).
2. Loosen the mounting nut, then remove the trunk lid lift (D).




3. Push the socket of the lifter into the bracket for installation.

LATCH ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the trunk lid trim.
2. Disconnect the key cylinder rod (A) and connector (B).
3. After loosening the mounting bolts, then remove the latch assembly (C).




4. Installation is the reverse of removal.

KEY HOLDER REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the trunk lid trim.
2. Disconnect the rod (A) and connector (B).




3. Loosen the key holder mounting bolt and remove (A).




4. Installation is the reverse of removal.

TRUNK LID WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the trunk lid weatherstrip (A).




2. Installation is the reverse of removal.

TRUNK LID ASSEMBLEY REPLACEMENT

NOTE:
- When removing the clips, use a clip remover.

1. Remove the trunk trim.
2. Disconnect the trunk lid connector.
3. Remove the wiring harness (A).




4. Remove the latch assembly.
5. Remove the key holder.

NOTE:
- When removing and installing the trunk lid, an assistant is necessary.
- Take care not to damaged the trunk lid and body.

6. After loosening the mounting bolt, then remove the trunk lid assembly (A).
7. Installation is the reverse of removal.

NOTE:
- Make sure the trunk lid opens properly and locks securely.
- Adjust the trunk lid alignment.
