TPMS DIAGNOSIS MENU FUNCTIONS SCREEN:
01. TPMS DIAGNOSIS provides access to the TPMS Electronic Control Unit (ECU).
02. TIRE SNSR CONFIG (EXCITER) provides access to sensor-related functions.
TPMS DIAGNOSIS FUNCTIONS:
Before selecting "01. TPMS DIAGNOSIS", connect the DLC cable to the port located on the bottom of the TPMS tool. Connect the other end of the DLC cable to the OBD-II connector of the vehicle. Once cable connections are established place the vehicle ignition key into the ON position and press the ENTER key on the TPMS tool two (2) consecutive times.
The following functions are available once ECU communication is established:
01. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES allows the user to retrieve and clear TPMS Diagnostic trouble Codes (DTCs).
02. CURRENT DATA displays ECU data related to TPMS operation.
03. WARNING STATE displays information stored by the ECU if a TPMS sensor detects a pressure or temperature condition that is outside programmed parameters.
04. ACTUATION TEST allows the TPMS warning lamps to be tested.
05. ECU INFORMATION displays ECU programming data and sensor identification numbers (IDs)
06. SPECIFIC DATA WRITING is used to configure a new ECU and register sensor IDs.
DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES SCREEN:
DTCs will be displayed in order of occurrence. Use the F2 key to clear DTCs. The user will be prompted to press the ENTER key to confirm or ESC key to cancel.
CURRENT DATA SCREEN:
Data displayed is related to sensor input as detected by the ECU. Additional ECU-related parameters are also available.
The F1 (FIX) key is used to select a data parameter after highlighting it using the up/down arrow keys. Fixing a data item forces the TPMS tool to provide updated information for Fixed items only.
The F3 (FULL) key is used to display 22 data parameters at once; use the up/down arrows to navigate between screens.
The F5 key is used to display a graph showing two data parameters at once; before graphing at least one item must be selected using the "Fix" function.
