Radiator: Service and Repair





REMOVAL

RADIATOR
1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the battery terminals(A) and heat shield(B).




3. Remove the battery and battery tray.




4. Remove the upper radiator hose(A) and lower radiator hose(B).




5. Remove the ATF(Automatic Transaxle Fluid) cooler hose(A).




6. Disconnect the fan motor connector.








7. Remove the radiator.
(1) Remove the air duct(A) to allow for radiator removal.




(2) Remove the reservoir tank(A) to allow clearance when removing the radiator.




(3) Remove the radiator mounting bolts and remove the radiator from condenser.




8. Remove the radiator upper bracket, then pull up the radiator.




9. Remove the cooling fan from the radiator.

INSTALLATION

RADIATOR
1. Install the cooling fan onto the radiator.
2. Install the radiator onto the air conditioner condenser on the vehicle.
The next installation procedures are in the reverse order of radiator removal.
3. Connect the fan motor connector.
4. Install the upper and lower radiator hoses, and ATF cooler hoses.
5. Fill with engine coolant.
6. Start engine and check for leaks.
