FRONT WIPER MOTOR

INSPECTION

SPEED OPERATION CHECK




1. Remove the connector from the wiper motor.
2. Attach the positive (+)lead from the battery to terminal 6 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 5.
3. Check that the motor operates at low speed.
4. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 4 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 5.
5. Check that the motor operates at high speed.

WIPER RELAY
1. There should be continuity between the No.87 terminal and No.30 terminal in the wiper relay when power and ground are connected to the No.86 terminal and No.85 terminal.




2. There should be no continuity between the No.87 terminal and No.30 terminal in the wiper relay when power is disconnected.

AUTOMATIC STOP OPERATION CHECK
1. Operate the motor at low speed using the stalk control.
2. Stop the motor operation anywhere except at the off position by disconnecting terminal 6. Connect terminals 3 and 6.
3. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 5.
4. Check that the motor stops running at the off position.




5. Check that the motor stops running at the off position.
