Removal

FRONT STABILIZER BAR

Component Location:





REMOVAL
1. Remove the front wheel & tire.

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the wheel & tire.

2. Loosen the bolt (A) and then disconnect the universal joint assembly (B) from the pinion of the steering gear box.





3. Disconnect the pressure tube (A) from the power steering pump by loosening the eye bolt.








4. Drain the power steering fluid by disconnecting the return hose (A).





5. Disconnect the stabilizer link (A) from the front strut assembly by loosening the nut.





6. Remove the split pin and castle nut and then disconnect the tie-rod end (A) from the front knuckle by using SST (09568-34000).





7. Disconnect the front lower arm with the knuckle by loosening the mounting bolts (A).





8. Remove the muffler rubber hanger (A).





9. Remove the front and rear roll stopper bolts & nuts (A, B).





10. Remove the sub-frame (A) and sub-frame stay by loosening the mounting bolts and nuts.





11. Remove the stabilizer bar from the sub-frame by loosening the mounting bolts (A).





12. Disconnect the stabilizer link (A) with the stabilizer bar by loosening the nut.





13. Remove the bushing.(A) and the bracket (B) from the stabilizer bar.
