Rear Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Rear Door Module Removal and Installation




1. Remove door delta inner cover from door frame.




2. Remove door inner handle cover.
1. Remove cover and screw.
2. Remove door inner handle cover from door trim.

3. Remove door trim.




1. Remove arm rest from door trim.




2. Remove door trim screws(4).




3. Disconnect electrical connector.




4. Remove door trim from door frame.




4. Remove door screen.

NOTE: Peel door screen off carefully so that it can be reused.




5. Remove door channel.
1. Remove bolts and nuts.

Tightening torque : 8 - 12 Nm (0.8 - 1.2 kg.m, 6 - 9 lb.ft)

2. Remove door channel from door frame.

6. Remove window glass.
1. Connect power window switch connector.
2. Connect negative battery terminal.




3. Turn ignition switch "ON" and set window glass bolts on access hole.
4. Turn ignition switch "OFF".




5. Remove glass run channel from door frame.

NOTE: When install the glass run channel, use soap and water for lubrication.




6. Remove window glass grip bolts(2).

Tightening torque : 8 - 12 Nm (0.8 - 1.2 kg.m, 6-9 lb.ft)




7. Remove window glass from door frame.

NOTE: Remove the glass carefully to avoid brakeage.

8. Disconnect negative battery terminal.
9. Disconnect power window switch connector.

7. Remove door module assembly.




1. Remove door latch screws(3).

Tightening torque

Door latch : 7 - 11 Nm (0.7 - 1.1 kg.m, 5 - 8 lb.ft)
Door striker: 17 - 22 Nm (1.7 - 2.2 kg.m, 12 - 16 lb.ft)

2. Remove bolts(4) and nuts.

Tightening torque : 8 - 12 Nm (0.8 - 1.2 kg.m. 6 - 9 lb.ft)

3. Disconnect electrical connector.
4. Remove wire harness from door module assembly.
5. Remove door module assembly from door frame.

8. Installation is the reverse of removal
