Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

REMOVAL





1. Remove the oxygen sensor connector (A).
2. Remove the front muffler (A).





3. Remove the heat protector (A).





4. Remove the exhaust manifold stay (A).





5. Remove the exhaust manifold (A) and gasket.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the exhaust manifold.
Tightening torque: 39.2 - 44.1 Nm (4.0 - 4.5 kgf.m, 28.92 - 32.53 ft. lbs.)
2. Install the exhaust manifold stay
Tightening torque:
Bolts: 18.6 - 27.44 Nm (1.9 - 2.8 kgf.m, 13.7 - 20.2 ft. lbs.)
Nut: 42.2 - 52.0 Nm (4.0 - 4.5 kgf.m, 31.1 - 38.3 ft. lbs.)
3. Install the heat protector.
Tightening torque: 17.7 - 21.6 Nm (1.8 - 2.2 kgf.m, 13.0 - 15.9 ft. lbs.)
4. Install the front muffler.
Tightening torque: 39.2 - 58.8 Nm (4.0 - 6.0 kg-m, 28.92 - 43.37 ft. lbs.)
5. Install the oxygen sensor connector.
